What QuarterSplit Does
QuarterSplit is a Chrome extension that lets you enter any monetary amount and instantly see how it distributes across four fiscal quarters โ Q1 (3 months), Q2 (5 months), Q3 (8 months), and Q4 (12 months) โ using a proportional formula based on the number of months relative to a full year.
All arithmetic happens entirely within your browser using JavaScript. The extension has no server, no backend, and no external API calls for calculations.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No financial amounts or inputs you type
- No browsing history or activity
- No personal identifiers (name, email, IP address)
- No device or hardware information
- No crash or analytics reports
- No cookies or tracking pixels
Local Storage (chrome.storage)
The extension uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API for one purpose only: remembering your last entered amount and selected currency (e.g. INR, USD) so you don't have to re-enter them each time you open the popup.
- This data never leaves your device
- It is stored in Chrome's local extension sandbox
- You can clear it at any time via Chrome โ Settings โ Clear browsing data โ Hosted app data
